The prices are close. The fit is not
Both cars are S$70 point-to-point and S$85 on a Changi arrival, GST included. Hourly is S$68 for the Alphard and S$70 for the V-Class, five-hour minimum. Choosing between them is a capacity decision, not a status one.
Take the Alphard when the bags outnumber the people
Toyota Alphard / Vellfire: 4 passengers, 4 large cases. It is the luggage-friendly MPV. Two couples flying in with check-in bags belong here, not in an E-Class that only holds two cases.
Take the V-Class when the row behind needs to exist
Mercedes V-Class: 6 passengers, 5 large cases. Families, a small delegation, a long-wheelbase cabin. VIP V-Class is a separate car (S$80 city / S$95 arrival) and is only offered when VIP is actually requested — the engine will not upsell it by synonym.

Questions
- Alphard or V-Class for Changi?
- Four people and four large bags: Alphard. Six people: V-Class. Both arrivals are S$85 including GST.
- Is the VIP V-Class the same car?
- No. It is specified separately and priced higher. It only appears when VIP is requested.
- Why not the E-Class?
- The E-Class holds two large cases. Four check-in bags will not be offered in that sedan — the engine blocks it.
